WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

I am based in Horsham in West Sussex.

WHERE DO YOUR PHOTO SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

My sessions take place at my home studio.

HOW LONG WILL OUR PORTRAIT SESSION LAST?

Photo sessions vary in length, but are usually around 2 hours. Don’t forget that it’ll take a little time to set up and for everyone to become relaxed – however we will take the time we need to get the right shot.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORNS?

Ideally, newborn photoshoots should take place in the first two weeks after birth, this is when we’re most likely to capture them asleep and curled up. Older babies tend to be more awake, but we can still achieve lovely images. My style is simple and natural, with minimal props. I prefer to focus on your baby. I generally ask my clients to feed their babies just before leaving home so that they are full, content and a bit more sleepy.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT?

The best time to schedule your pregnancy session is around 28-34 weeks. I have some maternity pieces here that you are welcome to wear but you can’t go wrong if you bring a few of the following items:

a basic white or grey tank top

a lingerie set and slip dress or long flowing dress

a good combination of tight fitting clothing to show off your bump

Try to keep your colour choices and palette to pastels and neutrals only so that we can keep the look simple, feminine and beautiful.

WHAT HAPPENS IF ONE OF US IS ILL?

If you or your child is ill, then I ask that you let me know as soon as possible and we can postpone your session until they’re feeling better. If there is a problem on the day, just before the shoot, I’ll do my best to give you another time that works, but I might need to charge a re-booking fee if you cancel on the same day.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

White features prominently in my images so simple, white clothes tend to work best and bring cohesion. I have some pieces that you and your children are welcome to wear.

DO YOU DIGITALLY ENHANCE THE IMAGES?

It is no problem to remove the superficial spots and scratches using photoshop – and I will always work to get the best result – but my overall style is to create the most natural, true images, with no obvious retouching.

WHEN DO I GET TO SEE THE PHOTOS?

It normally takes me a couple of weeks to edit your photographs. If you need them for a gift or a special event please let me know when you make your booking.

WHO HAS COPYRIGHT TO THE IMAGES?

I retain the copyright to all my images. However, if you choose to buy the high resolution digital files, you will be granted a license to reproduce the images for your personal use, or to give to family and friends.
